Tips for oily skin condition

Hormonal imbalances in adolescence cause oily skin. This type of skin is common in teenagers. The oil secretion in skin increases during teen age and decreases as age advances. Hormonal imbalance may appear during pregnancy and menopause, which lead to increase secretion of oil from oil glands of skin. Contraceptive pills and cosmetics also tend to increase the oil secretion. Humidity and Hot weather naturally increase oil secretion from oil glands of skin. The oil producing glands of skin are overactive and produce more oil. The excess oil, which oozes out gives the skin a greasy shine and the enlarged pores make the skin look coarse.

The qualities of skin are determined by tridoshas. The Dosha, which is dominant in skin, determines the type and quality of the skin.

Made Face Masks for Winter Skin Care…

Generally, we can single out five basic skin types: normal, dry, oily, combination, and sensitive, with each having particular characteristics and requiring specific care and/or treatment.
To determine your type, use a simple test with a clean facial tissue (or paper) to wipe your face in the morning, when you have just woken up:

1. Normal Skin …
If you skin belongs to a normal type, the tissue will not reveal any traces of oil. Your skin should feel vibrant, elastic, and supple. Normal skin is the least problematic type.
It looks clean and smooth and has a good circulation and healthy complexion. Even with a minimum care, it will look good well into your advanced age.10 Fall-Winter Skin Care Tips for Radiant Skin …

2. Dry Skin …
If your skin is dry, the paper will be clean, too, but your face skin will feel flaky, dry, and tight after you have wiped it.
Dry skin can easily develop a sallow tone, wrinkles, and fine pores, and it is very prone to aging and irritating. It might still look great on a young person, but, to keep it healthy, you should apply thorough care and use regular skin or beauty treatment with natural masks and moisturizers.

If you have oily skin, the paper will have spots of facial oil on it, corresponding to the areas of your cheeks, nose, and forehead. Oily skin is problematic – it usually looks greasy, thick, coarse, and shiny, has enlarged pores, and tends to break into acne.
A good thing, though, is that oily skin is not prone much to aging and wrinkling. Careful cleaning, minimizing of carbohydrate consumption, and avoiding rich creams can be helpful in improving the quality of oily skin.

Tips On Caring For Dry Skin

Before caring for dry skin you need to know what casues dry skin. Skin that has a low level of sebum (the natural oil produced by skin glands) is called dry skin. It cannot retain moisture and looks parched, feels uncomfortably tight after washing, and in extreme cases, shows chapping and cracking. Wind and very high or low temperature robs the skin of its natural moisture and the skin feels tightly drawn over bones. Dry skin also sometimes flakes. A distinguishing mark of dry skin is a dull appearance that shows clearly on cheeks and around the eyes. However, dry skin may also occur on the shins, hands and sides of the abdomen.

The most obvious cause of dry skin is lack of sufficient lubrication from sebum. In some cases, this can be due to genetic conditions. Environmental causes like exposure to sun, cold, cosmetics, chemicals (including harsh soaps), and wind can cause dry skin as well. Another main cause responsible for dry skin is poor nutrition. A diet deficient in vitamin A and the B is more likely to rob the skin of its natural moisture. Skin diseases like dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or seborrhea are other causes of dry skin. Finally, it can result from some abnormal conditions like diabetes and hypothyroidism, and use of certain drugs like diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines.

Caring for dry skin needs a lot of gentle cleansing, massage (to stimulate the natural sebum production), and ample quantity of moisture and oil. When you wash your skin with soap, it removes natural protective oil along with the dirt. Use of a moisturizer returns lost water content to the skin. Use neutral (neither acidic nor alkaline) products for washing the skin, and abstain from using commercial soaps. After the second cleansing, treat the skin lightly with moisturizing cream.

After taking a bath or shower, apply mildbaby oil ly over the skin. The area surrounding the eyes needs a more generous application of the oil. You can also massage your face or apply homemade remedies, as suggested by a doctor.

Every morning, treat your skin with a spray of mineral water (sprayed from a new sprayer never used before for other purposes). To apply a beauty mask for dry skin, mix together one egg, one teaspoon of honey, half teaspoon of olive oil, and a few drops of rose water. Use it as a mask.

Caring for dry skin must include a well balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Include sulfur-containing food species like onion, garlic, asparagus, and eggs as part of regular diet. Use more carrots and yellow and orange vegetables and aloe vera drink. Keep away from alcohol, caffeine (coffee, tea), sugary drinks, French fries, and other junk food. This will keep you skin healthy and prevent it from drying out.
